Lesson Plan for Portfolio Update and Implementation

Brief Description: This four-hour session has been developed to aid the program director and faculty of a paramedic program in understanding the Portfolio requirement developed by the National Registry and aid with implementing this portion of their program.

CE Credits: 2 Instructional Technique, 1 Measurement and Evaluation and 1 Educational Administration

Objectives: After this session, the participant will be able to:

  1. Explain what and why Portfolio is and how it impacts their program
  2. Name and describe the four parts of the Portfolio program and how they relate to each other.
  3. Implement the four parts of Portfolio into their programs.
  4. Identify pinch points and how to minimize their impact.
  5. Proctor a scenario and modify to create new, valid scenarios.
  6. Implement an effective method to keep track of all of the Portfolio components.
